Simply paying for the work to be created does NOT transfer ownership. 

WHAT IS A COPYRIGHT TRANSFER AGREEMENT

A Copyright Transfer Agreement is a legal contract designed to transfer ownership of creative “Work” from one party to another. Work… meaning something a photographer, designer, copywriters, artist, independent contractor or other creator has produced for you. Simply purchasing a logo, website, photos, content, etc. does not mean you own the rights to the work.
